Juried Arts & Crafts Festival Experience

Experience one of the Virginia Highlands Festival’s most celebrated traditions at the annual Arts & Crafts Show, where award-winning artists and skilled artisans transform downtown Abingdon into a vibrant outdoor marketplace filled with creativity, craftsmanship, and Appalachian culture.

Spread across the scenic lawns of the Barter Theatre and The Martha Washington Inn, this juried event showcases handcrafted works from regional and national artists working across a wide range of mediums including pottery, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture, leather, woodwork, fiber arts, glass, soaps, mixed media, gourmet foods, and more.

A Downtown Tradition Filled with Art, Creativity & Craftsmanship

For generations, the Virginia Highlands Festival Arts & Crafts Show has welcomed visitors to explore beautifully curated artist booths while enjoying the charm and walkability of Historic Abingdon.

Guests can meet artists directly, discover handcrafted pieces, learn about creative processes, and shop one-of-a-kind works while strolling through the festival atmosphere.

Juried Arts & Crafts Show

Browse handcrafted treasures from talented artists and artisans located throughout the Barter Lawn and Martha Lawn festival grounds.

From wearable fiber art and handmade ceramics to woodworking, photography, custom jewelry, glasswork, sculpture, and Appalachian-inspired crafts, the Arts & Crafts Show celebrates creativity in every form.
