Where do I get tickets for Festival events?

Most tickets are available at the gate with cash or credit unless pre-registration is required. Some advance tickets are available in the event description, but please review each event’s description for ticketing info.

Do I need to bring a chair to the music concerts?

Yes — bring your own chair…..but you might not end of using it!

Can I bring a cooler to a music concert?

No. We have food vendors, soft drinks, and a beer garden for your food and beverage needs. No containers are allowed of ANY kind.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, at Arts and Crafts (leashed). No, at the Antiques & Vintage Show

Where can I park?

Limited street parking and some parking lots are available near the Juried Arts & Crafts Show, in downtown Abingdon. There is ample parking available at the SWVA Higher Education Center where the Juried Antiques & Vintage Market is located as well as Writers & Readers Days and many lectures.

What if it rains?

Festival programs happen rain or shine. In the case of severe weather, updates will be posted to the Festival’s social media accounts and website.

Events under Outdoors & Adventures do offer refunds in instances of a cancelled event(s) due to inclement weather.

Where can I find a printed schedule of Festival events?

There will be printed daily schedules available at Festival sites, and this is also available on our website under the Daily Schedule tab.

How can I stay connected with the Festival?

Like the Virginia Highlands Festival Facebook page and follow us on Instagram and Twitter for the latest updates.

How can I be a vendor at Arts & Crafts or the Antiques & Vintage Show or a food vendor?

2026 Applications are now closed. Deadlines are early in the calendar year, so check back for updates. Food vendors are by invitation only.

How can I submit my band for consideration?

The Festival’s music committee is a volunteer committee of both industry professionals and interested members of the public. Festival consideration is by invitation only, and we do not take unsolicited submissions.
