Come visit Goshen Homestead in Russell County, a creamery, cattle ranch, chicken and egg farm as well as organic garden. Host Dwayne McIntyre will take us on the tour and show us how each part of the Homestead operates, contributes to the success of the whole enterprise, and produces the highest quality organic products. If nature cooperates, there will be a chance to get up close and personal with calves and baby chicks.
DIRECTIONS TO GOSHEN HOMESTEAD:
From Abingdon on Rt. 19: Go north on Rt.19 towards Lebanon. About 4 miles past Walmart, you will take Rt80 East. Farm is 4.2 miles on the left. Archway over the drive with signage. If you start going up a mountain, you've gone too far.
From Abingdon on I-81: Go north on I81 to exit 24 at Meadowview. Follow the signs to navigate Rt. 80 west through the town of Meadowview, and then stay on Rt. 80 until you cross over the mountain and enter into Russell County at the Channels parking lot. Continue down the other side of the mountain and Goshen Homestead is the first property on the left. See archway over the drive with signage.
Please note: Unfortunately, Google Maps does not bring you to Goshen Homestead. It will get you to the Washington County side of Rt. 80, but not to the farm. If you use Google Maps and are coming from Rt. 80 you will need to continue over the mountain. If you’re coming from Rt. 19, you will need to pay attention before you head into the mountain. Apple Maps will bring you right to our drive.
