Description: Although it has been closed for nearly 30 years, collectors are still enthusiastic about purchasing pieces produced by Iron Mountain Stoneware. Nancy Patterson Lamb, the founder, has just written a history and memoir of the company, ”A Journey with Clay.” Lamb opened the business in 1965, and at its height in the late 1980s, produced stoneware in 28 different patterns and a number of one-of-a-kind pieces which used original glazes. At this lecture, Lamb will be joined by her daughter Katie Lamb in talking about the company’s origins, its designs, and the history of the plant’s operations.
