Eugene Wolf's "The Book of Mamaw"

  • Southwest Virginia Cultural Center and Marketplace 1 Heartwood Circle Abingdon, VA, 24210 United States (map)

A Beautiful, Touching, Real, Laugh-out-Loud Celebration of Live

“The Book of Mamaw” is Eugene Wolf’s one-man show of stories, songs and sketches about growing up with Bernice Rader, who recognized her two-year-old grandson’s love of performing and guided him on his way. Mamaw was a Christian woman: Church of Christ, shape notes, and Avon. From a small church in Greeneville, Tennessee to the Saraha Desert, “The Book Of Mamaw” is a musical tale of a surprising spiritual path of kindness and compassion.
